Goodbye Tommy

I got to see Katie today. Anna's bestest buddy ever, Miss Katie. I was happy to see her and her momma. Sadly, they were here (Katie from school in Boston, her mom from Arizona) because Katie's dad has been very ill. His suffering is over, and thankfully, Katie & her mom were able to be with him at the end. I am so very sorry. Tommy was always "Katie's Dad" just like I am always "Jessica's Momma" or "Anna's Momma." That's who we are, and no one adored his girl more than Tommy loves Katie. The photo I chose is from one of their family vacations that they took Anna along. Anna is one of theirs just like Katie is one of mine. I know Anna loved Tommy like a second (or third?) dad, and I know he loved her too.

Goodbye, Tommy. I will miss you.

Monday looms large on the horizon

What have I been doing lately? Well, I finished the Boteh scarf & gave it to my Momma for Mother's Day. She & Daddy are off on another of their cross-country adventures in a few days.
